Home Is Where Your People Are

We believe that your home is a reflection of you and what is most important to you. Whether that is your family, fur family, woodworking studio, board game collection, proximity to the driving range or your own custom combination we’re here to help connect you with a space to maximize your desired lifestyle.

PS: working with the right people makes all the difference in your home buying experience. I had submitted an offer for this buyer that wasn't the highest (multiple offer situation) but the listing agent gave her offer priority because as he told me, "I want to work with you and I want to work with your lender." #testimonial #happybuyer #teamwork
In real estate we're often having tough conversati In real estate we're often having tough conversations: money, family planning, health, death, divorce, etc. Yesterday I was on a call with other young Realtors from across the country discussing the hard conversations we need to have in our industry and what we are doing in our communities to promote positive change. When overwhelmed with big problems we need to remember to take small steps forward such as listening and practicing empathy.

If you are the type to listen through art, head downtown for the #WindowsGR project. Thank you to all the talent who are designing, painting, collaborating and more!
Lately I've been thinking a lot about a conversati Lately I've been thinking a lot about a conversation I had with a client 2 years ago. We were in a multiple offer scenario and she wrote a letter to the sellers to introduce her family, why they would be the best buyers for the home, etc.

She mentioned to me that she wasn't going to include a picture from fear that they could be discriminated against because of her husband's skin color. In the end she decided to include it with the reasoning that if his race or a bi-racial relationship made a difference in the sellers' willingness to accept the offer than they weren't people she wanted to buy a house from.

I'm embarrassed to say it never occurred to me that my clients would have to make that type of consideration. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met, hard-working, and devoted parents. This man is a firefighter! He saves lives in our community! Who wouldn't want their home to sell to such an amazing family?! I understand that I will never understand, however, I stand.
May 7th was the first day for in-person showings s May 7th was the first day for in-person showings since the stay at home order was issued in Michigan. 2,073 showings were scheduled for that day across our MLS and the weekend was even busier. Multiple offer scenarios all over Grand Rapids letting us know that spring market is in full force!

We're fired up to be back in the field and if you've been considering selling your home give us a call to help craft a plan to make it a reality.

544 Cheshire listed May 9th and pended May 10th.

7 1/2 years working on hundreds of sales and this 7 1/2 years working on hundreds of sales and this may have been the biggest rollercoaster ride of them all: Buyer gets a second chance at this house after previous buyers walk away from inspections. Have one week to list and sell buyer's house. Work with over 7 contractors to diagnose and find acceptable terms for buyer's purchase of this house. Appraiser has family emergency and is delayed many days on submitting the report. Buyer's loan receives final approval. Buyer closes on home he is selling. Final approval on purchase is reversed with underwriting needing more documents and HUD approval. 6 very stressful days of not knowing (weekend + Veteran's Day) and 3 days later all parties were able to sign. There may be some new wrinkles on my face, but I am so excited for these families who will be in their new homes for the holidays.
